Make an appointment to talk to Marcy

How can you ensure that the changes you make stick and result in lasting improvements? The key lies in embracing the power of small steps and committing to resolutions that you can maintain throughout the year.

Consider your morning routine. What are the initial activities you engage in when you wake up? Do you start with a shower, opt for a protein shake, or perhaps indulge in a muffin?

If you aspire to enhance your life, it ultimately comes down to choices. Specifically, the choice to prioritize your health, happiness, fitness, and overall contentment. These decisions are among the most profound you'll ever make because they possess the potential to influence every other aspect of your life.

Every day, we confront choices, whether it's deciding between acting now or later, here or there, him or her, this or that, or whether to indulge in a hot fudge sundae or opt for fresh raspberries.

Even when we're unaware of these choices or fail to...

A Calorie Isn't a Calorie - Simple But Depth Explanation

My clients don't count calories, macros or limit portions... Tired of doing all of this and getting nowhere? Let's talk

Why a Calorie isn't a Calorie...

You've heard me say calories don't count, and I have simplified it as calories change when food is processed, so you aren't getting an accurate calorie count... while this is true, here is a better explanation of why calories aren't calories!

Plus, your human brain will abuse a calorie counting program! You will find a way to put 100 calories of some kind of junk into the count, not realizing that your broken cellular function can no longer work with it... or it will be the straw that finally breaks the camels back.

Fiber

You eat 160 calories in almonds, but only absorb 130—because some fiber calories pass through without metabolizing. Vegetables, greens, beans and whole grains are all high in fiber.

Protein

It takes twice as much energy to metabolize protein as carbs, so protein spends more calories in...

The truth about Collagen

Why we created a high quality = Superior Collagen Product

**This is why we created a powder in a capsule at Scho Fit Nutrition! It is already measured for you, or you can simply open the capsules and add to coffee or smoothies, etc. AND it is super easy on the go. BAM! 5 types of collagen THAT TRULY WORK… from a company you can trust.  **Be sure to use your discount code if you are a member of one of our programs. Or find an influencer with a code.

If you walk into any grocery store, Walmart and more you will see Collagen on the shelf. But are they worth it? The sad answer is; 98% of supplements are not what they are claiming to be. And what’s worse is you’ll pay the same for a collagen that only has 3 types, when you need a collagen that has 5 types.

Then you’ll hear that liquid collagen is better, is this true?

Here is the info from my research:

Liquid collagen and powder collagen are two different forms of collagen supplements, and...

Why BMI Matters

Understanding BMI

By: Marcy Schoenborn

Check your BMI Click here

BMI, or Body Mass Index, is a numerical value derived from a person's height and weight. It is a commonly used tool to assess whether an individual's weight falls within a healthy range relative to their height. The formula to calculate BMI is as follows:

BMI = (weight in kilograms) / (height in meters)^2

For example, if a person weighs 70 kilograms and has a height of 1.75 meters, their BMI would be calculated as:

BMI = 70 / (1.75^2) = 22.86

Now, let's discuss what constitutes a healthy BMI and its relevance for both men and women:

Interpretation of BMI:

  • Underweight: BMI less than 18.5
  • Normal Weight: BMI between 18.5 and 24.9
  • Overweight: BMI between 25 and 29.9
  • Obese: BMI of 30 or greater

For Women:

  • A BMI in the range of 18.5 to 24.9 is generally considered a healthy weight for adult women. This range is often associated with a lower risk of various health issues.

For Men:

  • Similarly, a BMI in the...

Health Benefits of Deep Squatting

Sitting in a deep squatted position, often referred to as a "deep squat" or "Asian squat," is a natural and functional human movement that offers several health benefits. This position involves lowering your body into a full squat with your hips close to the ground and your heels on or near the floor. While it may seem challenging for those unaccustomed to it, practicing and incorporating deep squats into your daily routine can be highly advantageous for your physical well-being. Here are some reasons why sitting in a deep squatted position is good for you:

  1. Improved Joint Mobility:
  • Deep squats promote flexibility and mobility in the hips, knees, and ankles. These movements can help maintain and even enhance joint range of motion.
  1. Stronger Lower Body Muscles:
  • Deep squats engage the muscles in your legs, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, and glutes. Regular deep squatting can contribute to lower body strength and muscle tone.
  1. Enhanced Hip Flexibility:
  • Deep...
